A future with Public Safety:
Australia’s commitment to defence and national security on the world stage and the increased emphasis placed on our nation’s safety since 9/11 has resulted in greater demand on all sectors of the Public Safety Industry. More frontline and support staff are required to accommodate the need for better preparation and response to emergencies and security threats. Areas of public safety such as Defence are already experimenting with different recruitment strategies such as modifying their selection criteria and the 1 year cadetship for school leaver’s gap year.
