Cadetships

If you want to gain valuable workforce experience while studying Accounting, you can undertake a cadetship. Various public sector agencies offer cadetships so you can combine work with study and earn good salaries too!

The Audit Office of NSW

Each Year the Audit Office of NSW offers places to HSC students interested in undertaking a degree in Accounting. Trainees work full-time and study part-time, taking between four and six years to complete their degree.

The Audit Office School Leaver Recruitment Program provides accounting, auditing and computer training and offers the benefits of study leave and financial assistance. All compulsory fees and charges including HECS/HELP are reimbursed by the agency once you pass the subjects. Plus, flexible work practices (such as part-time work, compressed weeks/fortnights and leave without pay) make it easier to complete your studies quickly.
